2022 Hall of Fame

Mark Govan (2005 – 2008): One of the top players and team leaders in his class, Govan was a two-time team captain and three-time recipient of WCLL honors. Hailing from Lafayette, California, Mark's favorite memories of his years with CP Lax were often made on team road trips. "A few that stick out in my mind were an away game at BYU in 2005 when temperatures in Provo were just above freezing and there was about an inch and a half of standing water on the entire field. It was a really aggressive game and you couldn't feel your waterlogged hands or feet for most of it." When looking back on his career, Mark is most proud of "the friendships I developed during my lacrosse Career. A lot of the guys I played with growing up and at Cal Poly are the same ones I still keep in touch with."

Mark graduated in 2009 from the Orfalea College of Business earning a degree in Accounting, Finance, and Economics. Currently a Director at Global Compute Infrastructure, Govan is living in San Francisco, California.

Tim DeSimone (2009-2012): One of the integral pieces of the famed 2012 Cal Poly team, Tim anchored the defense with his physical play and ability to shut down every team's top attackman. After growing up in Danville, California Tim would go on to receive a number of accolades while playing for Cal Poly.  These include: Team captain, three-time 1st Team WCLL All-Star, 2011 WCLL Defensive Player of the Year, and named a two-time MCLA 2nd Team All-American. When looking back on his years at Cal Poly, DeSimone reminisced how "we did it our way. Being part of club sports does not come with the support and investment of divisional programs, so any atmosphere that is created is truly authentic year in and year out. We had something special when I was there, and I am proud I got to be a small part of that because it made me truly happy and I think everyone else involved felt the same way."

Tim graduated from Cal Poly in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Financial Management Services. He lives in Seattle, Washington, and works as a Global Account Executive for Alteryx.
