CPLAX Alumni,
We are gearing up for the 29th Annual Alumni Game and the inauguration of the 4th class of the Cal Poly Lacrosse Hall of Fame coming up in just a few weeks on Saturday, November 19th.
Here are the details for this weekend’s festivities.

Meet at Firestone Bar & Grill from 8 or 9 p.m. to closing to relive your glory days with your fellow alumni.
SATURDAY’S GAMES
WE ARE HAVING TWO GAMES AGAIN THIS YEAR!!!
The old timers game vs. the current “B” team squad will start right at 12 noon. The Premier game will begin at 2 p.m.
You are all invited to play in either game or both games. But if everyone shows up only for the Premier game, than there simply won’t be enough playing time to go around for everyone. So all of the alumni who graduated more than five years ago should strongly consider playing in the early game.
You’re welcome to stay suited up for the Premier game as well, and work in as many runs as possible, but we want to make sure that no one leaves disappointed about their playing time.
Both games will be at the upper Sports Complex.
SATURDAY NIGHT’S DINNER & HALL OF FAME CEREMONY

After Saturday’s game, enjoy a chicken and tri-tip BBQ with all of the fixings.
Doors open @ 6:30 p.m., and dinner should be served at around 7:30 p.m. The Hall of Fame ceremony will take place immediately following the dinner. Like last year, due to the difficulty in getting the official clearance to serve alcohol at this venue, we will not be able to serve beer. However, there will be coolers stocked with ice available for to you use and you can bring your own beverage of choice.
SUGGESTED DONATIONS & CAL POLY LACROSSE FOUNDATION
Please remember that besides being a great chance to see your old teammates and get out on the field again, this weekend is our program’s biggest fundraiser of the year. We need your assistance to keep this program going strong as they make a run at an MCLA National Title, while keeping the players’ dues at a fairly reasonable level.
The suggested donation is $125 for solo alumni and $150 if you are bringing your wife or girlfriend or other family members with you to the dinner. As in past years, if that donation amount is too steep for your current budget, just contact me and we can work out a more manageable amount for you. But for those who are doing well out there in the real world, which is hopefully the vast majority of alumni, the program would really benefit from a larger donation to the program.
We are also in the process of creating “Mustangs Lacrosse Incorporated” separate from the university, which will help support the program financially. We are waiting to receive our official status as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, which should be coming in the near future. Once that occurs, you will be able to make tax deductible donations online. THE WEBSITE IS ALREADY SET UP TO RECEIVE ONLINE CREDIT CARD (PAYPAL) DONATIONS. HOWEVER, THOSE WON’T BE TAX DEDUCTIBLE FOR ANOTHER FEW MONTHS. IF YOU WANT TO MAKE A TAX DEDUCTIBLE CONTRIBUTION, YOU WILL NEED TO BRING A CHECK TO THE ALUMNI DINNER (OR SEND A CHECK) MADE OUT TO “CAL POLY MEN’S LACROSSE.”
